THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED GENESIS OF EDEN’S NIGHTLIFE GOES LIVE JANUARY 11th
NightlifeSD / Sidebar’s David Laurent & ChileCo’s Chef Scotty Wagner Unveil Hillcrest’s Newest Nightlife Venue
SAN DIEGO — The beginning of the New Year has inspired the launch of a new vision for nightlife in Hillcrest with the Grand Opening of Eden. Scheduled to open January 11, 2011, Eden’s 15,000 square foot nightlife facility is the second and final installment of the dual entertainment venue. Bringing down walls, both literally and figuratively, ChileCo’s Chef Scotty Wagner and NightlifeSD’s David Laurent are building upon the success of Eden’s eclectic dining room with the addition of Eden’s full-fledged dance complex.
“Hillcrest is well known for it’s vibrant and active nightlife,” says Co-Owner David Laurent, “Our goal with Eden is to exceed expectations by taking the local scene up a couple notches by raising the bar for Uptown’s nightlife and dining. More importantly, we’re here to have a good time and to throw some great parties.”
The venue’s Grand Opening will commence with an invite-only ribbon cutting ceremony in the garden patio from 7pm to 9pm. Mayor Jerry Sanders and Councilman Todd Gloria are expected to attend as hosts for the ceremony. Guests will enjoy hosted champagne and light hors d’oeuvres courtesy of brother-business, ChileCo Catering. Immediately following the reception, the gates to Eden’s nightlife venue will open to the public, free of charge at 9:00pm.
To headline the entertainment that evening is International circuit sensation, The Perry Twins who will be accompanied by specialty acts and performances that are sure to keep guests on their toes.
“I’ve been active in the Hillcrest community for over 20 years and I am confident that Eden will serve as San Diego’s foremost Gay & Lesbian venue by showcasing premier entertainment and upholding the highest standards of service and hospitality,” says Eden’s Nightlife Manager, Michael Mack.
Having undergone a half-million dollar renovation, the nightlife venue will debut a larger localized dance floor, custom intelligent lighting and sound, an “overlook lounge” and plenty of plush seating.
