Chris White, a local fashion designer, asked me to photograph his Endless Summer collection. We headed down to the beach with my camera gear, bags of clothing he designed, accessories from House.Boi, and one of his best friends. Jasen isn’t a model in real life, but you don’t have to know how to model to look great in front of the camera. And he was one of those guys that could put on clothes and look and pose like a real pro. Just beautiful! Chris was great at directing the shot, styling, and holding up my reflector to fill in shadows. The photos were magic! It is hard to explain this experience, but there are some shoots where I take a photo and it gets me so excited and fills my soul with happiness. It makes me feel like “This is what I should be doing! I live for this!” Most of the shots we took made me feel like that. We were really stoked getting the surfers into the frame of our shots – fit very well with our theme. Quite an incredible little shoot, excellent teamwork. We knocked out the shoot rather quickly and before we knew it, we were back in town settling into the rest of our evening.
