Michael and the Fresian. This was one of the most magical photoshoots I will probably ever do. Michael and I had enjoyed a wonderful day at the San Diego Polo fields together, sitting in VIP, enjoying a bottle of champagne together, watching the action of the polo players back and forth across the field, the sashay of female models in the latest fashions in the fashion show, the business ideas and laughter shared with new friends sitting at the table with us. Glancing at the watch and the angle of the sun glaring in the sky, it was time to get onto the photoshoot. We went from Sunday’s finest, to Saturday’s dirtiest jeans and boots, hoofing it back to the stables where the story of horse and rider were about to begin and unfold…. Every photo I took was magic. The horse and rider, so in tune with each other. Michael, a lifelong equestrian, riding the horse bareback and at times even without a formal bridle and just a leadline around his neck, was at ease sitting on the back of the tall and muscular fairytale-like horse. It was an honor to capture such beautiful moments in time. And it was a day that I will never forget. A man with depth and experience, and a horse with strength and loyalty.
